Westwood Basketball Association Stephen Bonkowski Annual Scholarship

Steve Bonkowski was a Westwood Dad, friend, and former WBA volunteer who loved playing basketball. Steve was well known because he was a great person on and off the court. Scholarships are awarded to Westwood High School graduating students who, like Steve, demonstrated exceptional character on and off the court.    

The Westwood Basketball Association (WBA) offers a $500 college scholarship to two graduating high school students in Steve's name.  One scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior and past participant in our girl's programs, and the other from our boy's programs. The scholarship is intended to be used toward college tuition or costs.

The requirements are:

• Participated in Westwood Basketball Association (WBA) programs, intown and/or travel basketball, for all their eligible years - typically 2nd grade through 8th grade, unless they moved into Westwood after 2nd grade. 
• Accepted to a college/university and will begin school the Fall after graduation
• Represented WBA off the court doing something positive in the Westwood community
